Cass County celebrates courthouse’s history, future

<p>The oldest courthouse in continuous operation in the state of Texas was celebrated Saturday afternoon, but a steady rain forced the ceremony, attended by an overflow crowd, to be held inside the second-story courtroom.</p>

The rain didn't hamper the official rededication of the historic Cass County Courthouse in Linden. The ceremony, which was to be held Saturday on the south side lawn, was moved indoors to the second floor courtroom as rain fell most of the day.

The Atlanta Powerlifting Team took first at the Hallsville Meet on Feb. 16. The Rabbits edged host Hallsville by three points, 50-47, to claim the top spot. Carthage trailed with 27 points in third place.
