What’s that smell?

A good friend told me recently that I was stuck in a perfume rut. I just looked at her and told her it wasn’t a rut; I just happen to have a signature scent — “Light Blue” by Dolce & Gabbana (that I’m in love with)!

“Same thing,” she said.

Which made me think … she’s right. I need to see what else is out there. I need to give other scents a shot! I’m sure we’ve all felt this way at some point in time. It’s time to make a change. Where do I start?

Go to a store that sells a lot of different perfumes, like Dillard’s or if you are in the DFW area, try a Sephora store. Sniff to see what you like and try and then do a little shopping and see if you still like it later. I was stuck in the same kind of rut for the longest - wearing only Pleasures by Estee Lauder. Then I started trying some other scents and have found several that I like and that I always get compliments on. Aquolina Pink Sugar is a great smell and Euphoria by Calvin Klein always gets me compliments.
