New East Texans
I’ve lived in Longview all of my life, and it’s refreshing to me when I meet people that are new to the area. Yesterday I met a couple of girls who moved to Longview a few months ago. When I told them a bit of my history, they immediately started asking questions like, “Where are the best restaurants?” and “What do you do for fun?” and “Why don’t you have an accent?” :)
Their main question was: “What are some cool towns or cities to visit that are close-by?”
See, their mission is to explore as much of their new surroundings as possible. They started in Jefferson in October and visited The Tyler Rose Garden after that.
East Texas is literally covered in little “diamond in the rough” spots. Where would you suggest sending these adventure-seeking road trippers?
