Healthy eating

Now that the weekend is over and we’ve satisfied our junk food cravings with nachos, funnel cakes and corn dogs @ AlleyFest, it’s time to start eating healthy again!

I decided to cook brussels sprouts last night to kick-start my healthy eating habits. After all, brussels sprouts are very high in fiber, and they belong to the disease-fighting cabbage family. They’re also particularly rich in vitamin C, an anti-cancer agent — they’re just a good-for-the-body food that is high in protein and low in fat and calories.

Unfortunately, a couple of bites into the veggie, and I realized brussels sprouts aren’t for me! I try to like them … I just make myself enjoy them. I forced myself to eat them just because of the healthy goodness they provide.

Do you force yourself to eat healthful foods you don’t like? If so, what are they and why?
