Pilgrim’s Pride stock appears to be on the rebound after facing a tough couple of months.
Company shares rose 9.65 percent Wednesday closing at $16.02. That was up by $1.41 a share from Tuesday’s close and represented the first time since the middle of June Pilgrim’s share have traded above $16.
The Pittsburg-headquartered chicken company has faced some tough times with record high prices for chicken feed making a big dent in the bottom line. Between June 2, when shares were trading at $25.67, and July 8, when they closed at $11.25 each, they lost 56 percent of their value.
