The stock market on Friday was responding positively to Thursday’s news from Ohio-based Dana Holding Corp. that the auto parts maker plans additional cost cutting measures including the trimming of about 3,000 jobs corporate wide in coming months.
Dana shares were up nearly 6 percent in late morning trading. They were trading at $6.19, a gain of 35 cents from Thursday’s close of $5.84.
