Eastman named among nation’s top IT employers

Kingsport, Tenn.-based Eastman Chemical has been cited as one of the top workplaces for informational technology (IT) professionals, according to the Associated Press.

The company has Longview operations where approximately 1,500 are employed.

The honor is listed in the June 15 issue of the publication Computerworld and online at Computerworld.com. Eastman was ranked No. 55 out of the best 100 on this year’s list.

The selection was based on a questionnaire about benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention.

Eastman has more than 10,000 employees around the world.
