Brookshire’s connecting via YouTube, Facebook
Tyler-based Brookshire Grocery Co. on Monday announced it has joined the ranks of grocery companies taking its marketing message to YouTube and Facebook to communicate with a growing segment of the population.
To promote store brands the company has produced funny video sketches on YouTube featuring animated containers of milk and yogurt, according to company officials. Brookshire’s drives home the message that its Food Club milk and yogurt and - manufactured by the company in Tyler - are tops in taste and freshness.
The company’s marketing department has produced two videos, each about a minute and a half in length, and plans to do more.
The Facebook pages provide an opportunity for Brookshire’s to connect with customers quickly and through a medium many use daily, said Rick Rayford, CEO.
A link to the Facebook page is available on Brookshire’s Web site (brookshires.com) and Super 1 Foods Web site (super1foods.com). The Facebook page is available to members by being asked by another member to become a fan of Brookshire’s or by using the following link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brookshires/69185830831?v=wall&viewas=1460182031
“These are creative ways to reach more people and promote products and services,” said Rayford. “We have also updated our Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods Web sites, which offer browsers a wide range of information about our company including store locations, advertised specials, recipes, nutritional information and much more.”
