Voting coming to a close
Hey all,
I really appreciate everyone getting on here to check out the videos and the blog. Even if some of the voting got out of hand, we’re all here to support the dancers and the program. It’s a great thing for the community, and it looks like everyone is having a lot of fun. I know I’ve had fun getting to work on the videos. Anyway, we’re going to close the voting around midnight tonight. So, consider yourself warned.

We’ve posted the second practice/dress rehearsal videos. The poll has been reset to reinvigorate the friendly competititon. Check them out, and get ready for the final performance this Saturday.

Final Countdown!
It is crazy to think that we are only 1 week away from the performance. Kerry and I have been working hard to make our routine awesome! Sal has worked with us a lot on our solo and our waltz. I think we are ready for what the competition brings! Hopefully everyone will enjoy it!

Kerry and I are really excited for Saturday and hope we get lots of fans and supporters. We love any comments that you guys leave us on here. They are wonderful moral support!

Renewed voting
Hey, this is Scott Brunner at news-journal.com. there’s been some concern about the voting. we’re going to be getting the dress rehearsal videos on here in the next week or two. I think what I’m going to have to do is reset the poll results and start over after we post the new videos. What does everyone else think?
From Geek to Chic
All of the dances seem to have a theme of their own. Keeton and Abby are playing geeks….who just act silly. Alicia and Randy are detective and mystery woman…Theresa and Bob are zoot suiters…Stephanie and Danny are 40’s clubber and singer…Colten and Becky are lindy hoppin…Jarred and Noelquis are hip hop salsa dancers… and Bart and Stacey are moulin rouge…and Kerry and I are zorro-ing!!!
These are going to make things difficult for the judges!! competitions are just beginning between everyone!! Longview news journal editorial and their circulation department are competing to win as it is!! Kerry and I aren’t doing so hot on the polls…. VOTE VOTE VOTE for us!!!!!!

Lets get Political!
Kerry and I would like to thank all of you who have voted for us so far. We greatly appreciate it and we hope you will keep voting for us! I know there has been A LOT of support for us from Ravelery.com and all its “helpers”. Circulation at the LNJ has been a great help as well. Thanks so much
Waltzing Into Tomorrow
The Waltz is such an elegant dance. Practicing this dance went amazingly well. Everyone seemed to catch on in a matter of minutes. There was lots of laughing and joking around and everyone gets along. Kerry could not make to the practice but thats okay I will make him work hard on Tuesday!
In other news!! Keeton popped out some massive votes out of the blue. There is definitely competition between Keeton and Abby…and Kerry and I. It is insane! Hopefully some more people will vote for Kerry and I.
The Paso is looking GREAT!!! Lots of hard work has gone into it so far!! The competition seems to be creaking up on us. Hopefully everyone will Dance wonderfully and the judges will have some tough competition!
Coming to the performance will definitely be worth the money

Cha Cha Cha
I tittled this blog “cha cha cha”, because that is the dance that Sal is hoping to teach me and my partner, Bart, to perform. I should say me rather than my partner, because Bart is doing a great job! This has been a wonderful experience. I actually look forward to practice.
Paso Doble
Hello Everyone, I am Carmen, a student dancer at Pine Tree High School. My partner is Kerry Hill with Longview News Journal. We are performing in Dancing with the Stars and are extremely excited.
Dancing the Paso Doble is tough. Never in my 3 years of dance have I experienced such a hard dance to catch on to.There is so much passion and intensity. It is very much a love-hate type of dance. Though the dance is tough, Sal is working with us A LOT to help make sure we get the steps.
There seems to be a a large amount of competitiveness amongst us. All are determined to win. Though right now, we are all still falling on our bottoms.

Hey, this is scott brunner at news-journal.com. my co-worker Nathan and I have been working on videos of each of the first practices and they’re almost done. we’re gonna get those posted pretty soon, but you can go ahead and make speculations about who you think is going to win. we’ll be voting before you know it. As a moderator on here, I can’t be biased. I do, however, know that the News-Journal did pretty well last year, and I’m sure Randy Ross can uphold our reputation for getting down.
