We are in the final stretch to the competition and the excitement among the participants is ramping up!

I would like to ask the community to commend the local “celebs” who put themselves on the line to support the students in this event. They have worked extremely hard to learn their routines … and I assure you that it has not been a bed or roses! :) We have had ladies dropped during stunts … gentlemen slammed in the face with elbows … and they have all gotten up smiling and started over again! These folks have been absolutely MARVELOUS!

The evening will be filled with good food provided by Mario’s, Remarkable Parties, and Glory Bee Bakery. There will be great music provided by John Carrington and some outstanding works of art provided by the PTHS Art Department. You will see our couples decked out in finery provided by Lonnie at the Tuxedo Company. Our ladies will be treated to makeovers from Dillard’s. There will be open dancing throughout the evening so you can “cut a rug” and “strut your stuff”!

Scott and Nathan from the LNJ have been awesome in their dedication to getting the hours of footage they used to edit and post on the LNJ website. They are hoping to have the new vids up by Monday … so go in and check them out and VOTE for your favorite couple. The voting starts anew … so show your favorite couple you appreciate their courage, effort, and AWESOME dancing skills!

We hope to see you Saturday!

This year in Dancing with the Stars has been amazing! My partner, Stacy Stroud, has been a blast to work with. She has come a long way and is ready to compete come Saturday. She has worked extremely hard to do a great job. Hope you all come out and support us! I would like to thank the Longview News Journal for being a major supporter of our event.
