State resumes ultimate penalty

The topic of the death penalty has always been under heavy debate. We’d like to know some of your thoughts on this. Is “eye for an eye” really the best solution?

I am for death penalty 200%. We must consider the devastation and life changing crimes that affect familes forever. Mothers, Fathers, Little Children, Husbands and Wifes. What about them?

I do believe in the death penalty. I believe the punishment should fit the crime. If a life sentence in prison is only 35 years, where’s the justice in that? If you murder, or intentionally cause someone to lose their life, you should pay the ultimate penalty. I do believe that we need to be sure they are guilty before we punish them, but I don’t believe we should be lenient on them. They weren’t lenient on their victims.

I am for the death penalty in this case. If a person has been convicted using DNA evidence, and that person is guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, then why should we pay to keep them alive!! That’s all we’re doing. They talk about over-crowded prison systems…then get rid of them. As I said, if ALL the evidence is there, then put them to death, and quit putting people like the slime that killed the DPS officer back on the street. Why was that guy even on the streets?? Child molesters?..kill them!!

i am very much against the death penalty .God gives and takes lives, not man. and i think of the innocent that die from the death penalty that have been in prison and then later are found innocent. AGAINST 100%

I’m very much for the death penalty and glad they have started back up.Everyone needs to remember the victims. The offenders were tried and convicted and deserve there punishment.
