LISD views plans for campus expansions
Two local school campuses could be expanded within 13 months, architects say.
Doris McQueen and South Ward elementary schools were approved for more than $9 million in expansions when Longview Independent School District voters passed a $266.9 million bond package in May. On Wednesday, district architects laid out their plans for each campus.
The district wants to add at least 32,000 square feet of building space to each campus to accommodate 760 students each - both schools have less than 600 students daily.
How do you feel about the district’s construction plans?
