Gas price drop excites East Texans
As Loretta Hollins pumped gas Friday afternoon, she kept an eye on the price.
Gasoline prices in East Texas averaged about $3.20 a gallon Friday, according to the American Automobile Association. That was about 20 cents less than the national average of about $3.40 a gallon.
“This is great. It’s really helping me as I go back and forth to work,” Hollins said of her $3.19 per gallon price. “I think it’ll continue to go down — hopefully to $2-something a gallon.”
Still, experts don’t expect dropping gas prices to mean that American drivers will begin using gas as they did before prices increased. Instead, they say, most drivers assume the dip in prices will be short-lived, according to a report by the Associated Press.
Do you think the gas prices will continue to drop?

Not any more. It jumped back up. When the price went down the demand increased and so did the price. Thank to everyone who “stocked up” on the cheaper gas.

Shea,
Keep an eye on the prices, the Valero @ Bill Owens and HG Mosely has always been .05 -.10 cents higher than Don’s but they were at $2.99 Saturday too.
As far as the car wash, the $3 wash on the loop at 4th street is the best I have found recently, we all need to post the best values we find in town.
Happy shopping.

Its weird Randy that I havent been paying attention to the price of gas at Don’s until you mentioned it. I mean I havent thought about it when I fill up recently, I guess because I have to have it so I just go and get it, dont even look at the price anymore. I will now tho, I usually go to Don’s because I use the car wash after, but if what you say is true, I wont buy there anymore till he goes down like the rest. Still going to use the car wash tho its the best one in town.

Funny how Don Talleys Valero stores are still at $3.19/gallon when almost everyone else in town is at @ $2.96-$2.99/gallon
Boycott his stores for this excessive profit.
