Playoff Central

The Longview News-Journal is baseball playoff central. Staff writers Rick Kretzschmar and Gabriel D. Brooks and sports correspondent J.C. Derrick will report scores following each inning of their playoff games tonight. Kretzschmar will be in Ennis to cover No. 2 Spring Hill’s Class 3A regional quarterfinal best-of-three series opener against No. 3 ranked Waco Robinson. Derrick will report from Kilgore at the Class 4A regional quarterfinal best-of-three series opener between Henderson and Hallsville. Brooks will be in Tatum for a Class A regional quarterfinal best-of-three series opener between Overton and Avery. Look for inning-by-inning updates here, and look for complete game stories immediately following the games at news-journal.com/sports.
