7-on-7 schedule set

The field for a Division I 7-on-7 football state qualifier on Saturday, hosted by Tyler Lee at Lindsey Park, has been announced. The field includes Pine Tree and Marshall.

Pine Tree will play in Pool B with host Lee, Arlington Lamar and Dallas Conrad. Marshall is in Pool C with Whitehouse, Lindale and College Station A&M Consolidated.

Each team will play pool games at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. The winners of each pool will play semifinals at 1:30 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The top two placers advance to the 7-on-7 state tournament next month at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Lamar has already qualified for state and will not advance beyond pool play.

Here is the schedule.

Pool A

9:30 a.m.: Mabank vs. Houston Episcopal, Tyler Lee B vs. Jacksonville

10:30 a.m.: Mabank vs. Tyler Lee B, Houston Episcopal vs. Jacksonville

11:30 a.m.: Mabank vs. Jacksonville, Tyler Lee B vs. Houston Episcopal

Pool B

9:30 a.m.: Pine Tree vs. Tyler Lee, Dallas Conrad vs. Arlington Lamar

10:30 a.m.: Pine Tree vs. Arlington Lamar, Tyler Lee vs. Dallas Conrad

11:30 a.m.: Pine Tree vs. Dallas Conrad, Tyler Lee vs. Arlington Lamar

Pool C

9:30 a.m.: Marshall vs. Whitehouse, A&M Consolidated vs. Lindale

10:30 a.m.: Marshall vs. Lindale, Whitehouse vs. A&M Consolidated

11:30 a.m.: Marshall vs. A&M Consolidated, Whitehouse vs. Lindale

Pool D

9:30 a.m.: John Tyler vs. Rockwall, Whitehouse B vs. Sulphur Springs

10:30 a.m.: John Tyler vs. Whitehouse B, Rockwall vs. Sulphur Springs

11:30 a.m.: John Tyler vs. Sulphur Springs, Rockwall vs. Whitehouse B

Semifinals

1:30 p.m.: Pool A winner vs. Pool B winner, Pool C winner vs. Pool D winner

Championship

2:30 p.m.: Semifinal winners
