Cass County rededicates oldest operating courthouse in Texas

<p>Cass County Judge Charles McMichael, joined by a host of dignitaries present at the rededication event, cuts a ribbon signed by all who came to celebrate the historic building’s rededication on Feb. 18.</p>

The rain didn't hamper the official rededication of the historic Cass County Courthouse in Linden. The ceremony, which was to be held Saturday on the south side lawn, was moved indoors to the second floor courtroom as rain fell most of the day.

Lady Tigers undefeated at Lobo Tournament

The Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers won all four of the games they played at the rain-shortened Longview Lobo Softball Tournament this past weekend.

LK students point out courthouse architectural features

<p>LKHS Written Events Advisor Gail Dorgan, Erin Mitchell, Logan Smoak, Taylor Wells and DECA Sponsor Billie Ruth Hankins presented a DECA Public Relations Project to help inform citizens of the history of the Cass County Courthouse building.</p>

Saturday was a big day for several Linden-Kildare High School students. Junior Erin Mitchell was given the honor of reading Gov. Ricky Perry's proclamation celebrating the Cass County Courthouse’s renovations during the rededication ceremony.
