Aley Wicker, of Jefferson, was looking for the perfect summer shoes for the hot weather. She not only wanted something stylish, but comfortable as well. She decided to try Victoria's Secret Fitflop Fitness shoe. Here's what she thought about them:

"When I first heard of Victoria's Secret's new line of shoes, I thought, 'Fitflop ... what kind of name is that?' I really wanted to try them out. From what I've read, these shoes are supposed to give a girl a workout while she's just walking around. From running errands to working around the house, these shoes are supposed to make it easier to stay in shape while doing regular, daily things.
When I got my shoes, my first impression was 'What the heck are these things? How in the world are they supposed to tighten my calves?' Let me tell you - they did just that, AND they comforted the ball and arch of my feet!
I wore them on my weekly trip to the grocery store, and usually I dread the long haul of bags from the store to my car. It's now a new experience: a workout, rather! I walked and walked, and I was able to focus on shopping and watching my four-year-old son instead of wincing in pain as I have done before in other shoes of mine. Ladies, you can relate! The shopping experience is no longer a chore. My feet are happy in these shoes, and my calves are tightened!
I have started to slip them on every day after a high-heeled-filled work day. They sit in my car and wait to be placed on my feet ... ahhhhh. I wear them on outings with friends, running errands, and I even wear them on my weekly walks. These shoes are fabulous.
But I'd like to make a small suggestion. Because the Fitflops only come in whole sizes, it was tricky for me to order the right size (because I wear a 7 1/2 size shoe regularly). If you wear a half shoe size like me, go down, not up. I got a size 8, and don't get me wrong, they are still comfy and stylish; however, they are a little big, and it's noticeable to others.
Other than that, these are seriously amazing shoes. It's summer, so plan to wear the heck out of them - your feet don't sweat, your calves look good, and these shoes are comfortable and wearable with almost any outfit!"
