"Although it's true that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, sometimes it's not always best to judge a book by its title, either. Take for example my favorite book, 'Love Is a Wild Assault'. It certainly is a love story, but it's so much more than that. This novel is a historical fiction novel about one of the first women of Texas, Harriet Potter. She has loves, losses and a total of 18 children! Can you imagine? I read it every year because it energizes and inspires me. I would recommend it to all women who think their lives are complicated, because Harriet has us all beat!"

"This book is a great read for the historical fiction lover. The series tells the story of the establishment of Israel as a Jewish state. The story begins in pre-World War II Austria. Characters include a violinist of Jewish heritage who must escape the Holocaust and an American journalist who gets involoved with an English plot to overthrow Hitler. This book has it all -- intrigue, danger, conspiracy, music, history and love. This is one of the few fiction books that I have enjoyed reading more than once."
Terry Turpin, 52, Longview

"This story takes you into the lives of a family with real-life problems. It deals with chronic illness of a child and the emotions involved and it touches on martial problems such as recovering from an unfaithful spouse. This is a story of the exciting, caring, loving, hurtful, fearful, scary, faithful and hopeful struggles and blessing of a family. I feel everyone can relate to this story, and it brings all the focus back to where it should be -- God. Even though it is a fictional story I believe everyone has experienced some of the troubles that this family goes through."
Chelsey Ayers, 23, Longview
