"I immediately put this magic little skin cleansing tool to a tough test — I went to the beach for vacation! To be fair to the manufacturer I loosened my grip on my favorite Murad products and simply traveled with the cleanser that came with the system. Being of the female persuasion, I quickly gobbled up every crumb of information that was printed on the box and in the instruction booklet. Learning that the Clarisonic was created by the inventors of the SONICARE toothbrush, I then understood that the same sonic vibration technology, 300 movements per second, would be cleansing to my skin. Other information printed on the box shows a graph of participants in an 8-week home trial. They reported improvements in the following areas: healthier skin, fewer dry patches, fewer blemishes, more effective cleansing and a decrease in appearance of pore size. The product also promises to keep your skin looking young, vibrant and healthy, while gently clearing your pores for better absorption of your skin care products. This must be THE super duper product that we have all been waiting for! Heck, if I only wash my face once a day and simply get half of those results, WOW! And just imagine ... all this packaged up for us in a terrific little box for under $200!
I must admit, after the anticipation I felt from the 'instruction booklet hype' I experienced a bit of a letdown by the cleansing system while at the beach. However, when I arrived home I owned up to the facts that switching from my regular cleansing product, having heavy sun exposure and unhealthy eating and drinking practices were most likely excessive disadvantages to this investigation. So, I decided to give the trial a more impartial go when I returned to my usual routines.
Back to the daily grind and my established dreadful habits, I can now truthfully give the Clarisonic Skin Care System a booming round of applause! My face, neck and décollaté are cleaner than ever! Those itchy, red bumps previously on my chest are completely gone! Lack of knowledge keeps me from being entirely confident I could point out an actual pore on my own face, but I must say the appearance of my skin has brightened and improved. Deep, gentle scrubbing by the oscillating brush did seem to enhance the absorption of my moisturizers which made my skin appear healthier and perhaps filled in a few wrinkles too! The only negative comment I could give to the system is about the factory-set cleansing times. When I do wash, I want to make sure I get my face clean! The brush has a factory-set timer that goes for one minute and beeps when you should move to the next section of your face. Twenty seconds for your forehead, 20 more for your nose and chin and then 10 seconds for each cheek. I must confess ... I just ignore all those bells and whistles and continue scrubbing the way I want so my face comes clean, clean, CLEAN!"
