Laundry Tree's SoapNuts claim to fame: SoapNuts are used to get your laundry clean! They are the berries that grow on trees in India and Indonesia. Their shells contain saponin, a natural detergent. SoapNuts are organically grown and chemical-free, and they are incredibly gentle on clothes and skin. They are especially great for those with sensitive skin -- including babies and those who suffer from allergies, eczema and psoriasis. They're totally biodegradeable, so they're better for the environment than regular detergent, and they're antimicrobial, so they're even good for septic and greywater systems!
Initially, I didn't like them because they made my laundry room smell funny! The smell did not last for long, but it was definitely a unique odor. I figured the clothes would smell, but instead they seemed fresh. I probably won't use them again, because I have a lot of laundry to do with a family of eight, and this detergent doesn't contain anything for getting out stains.

The SoapNuts were definitely different. I'm not used to having to put something into a bag and just throw it into my laundry! They were interesting to try! If you're eco-friendly, it's something great for you to use because it's just a little nut, no chemicals or anything added into it! Good product!

It was a little different than my regular laundry detergent: no mess like the regular powder detergents and no drip stains like the liquid detergents. The awesome thing about it is it really cleans. Another plus is it doesn't have heavy perfume scents that could trigger allergies. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for moms who have children with allergies, such as myself.

I washed my little girls' clothes with the SoapNuts. I have a 2-year-old and a 1-month-old, and of course the 1-month-old has sensitive skin. The product got their clothes very clean and didn't leave any kind of odor behind.
