Here's what Beth Matlock of Lake Cherokee had to say:
"As I was having a pedicure in preparation for the photo shoot for this article, it hit me: this half-hour pedicure is doing more wonders for my feet than The Foot Chi did in three weeks.
Let me begin by saying that I've been teaching yoga since 1999 and am familiar with acupressure and its therapeutic benefits, so I was excited and looking forward to using The Foot Chi. The Foot Chi is a 16" W x 57"L cobblestone footpath (think of a yoga mat with plastic rocks on it) that claims to help the user 'walk the path to better health.' The makers cite a study that states "cobblestone walking helped to reduce blood pressure, improve balance and increase physical function."
I started out my first day, excited at all of the acupressure benefits I would receive after my 10-minute 'walk.' The problem is, after three steps, your walk is over. Of course you could purchase more than one Foot Chi to make a 'cobblestone walking path' of your desired length. I estimated it would take at least six of these mats to form a large enough walking circle that wouldn't make me dizzy or nauseous. So rather than shell out extra cash, I decided to walk back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Ten minutes quickly turned into the longest three minutes of my life.
Bottom line, unless you can stay calm and peaceful after walking back and forth on a space less than five feet long for 10 minutes (try it sometime, it's not easy), The Foot Chi is probably going to wind up in the back of your closet. You're better off spending your money and time on a really good pedicure and foot massage at a local salon."
