Skin tends to become its own worst enemy during summer. When you?re out on the beach or having a picnic in the park, the hot summer sun brings on the heat and brings out the oil on your face. Longview resident Barb Berry wanted to nip that in the bud this season, so she stopped by Dillard's to try out a couple of MAC Cosmetic products: Oil Control Lotion and Blot Pressed Powder. "I have to say, I love this Mac Oil Control Lotion! The first thing I noticed is that it's very light — some lotions I've tried are just too heavy to wear under makeup. I only wear powder (no foundation or base), so this was a perfect moisturizer to put on before the powder. It actually helped my makeup last longer throughout the day without having to do so many touch-ups. The scent is great, as well ... smells very clean and natural. I used it both in the mornings before applying makeup and after cleansing my face at night.
The Blot Pressed Powder was a bit confusing to me at first. Since I only wear powder, I thought this was to be used the same way. But it's not for all-over color coverage. It's meant to blot on throughout the day where you may have oily areas. I really put it to the test by using it while being outside in the sun all day and found that it does actually work like I expected. I don't have oily skin problems, but being outside in our East Texas heat will cause anyone to have some problems while they have their makeup on! The Blot Powder provided shine control and absorbed excess oil throughout the day without adding layer-after-layer of unnecessary color.
I would definitely recommend the Lotion to all of my friends. It's perfect for people who don't want a heavy moisturizer. Being able to use it for both morning and night makes it great! The Blot Pressed Powder is something I would recommend to my friends that have normal to oily skin, especially during our hot summer months!"
