Charm asked our readers, "What's your best travel tip?" Here's what they had to say:

"Weigh your luggage! You don’t want any surprises of hidden fees at the airport. Even if you’re traveling by car, weighing your luggage would help you and your family cut down on stuff you don’t need if you put a weight limit on everyone’s personal suitcases."

"Tripadvisor.com - we plan all our trips based on hotel reviews, sight-seeing reviews, hints and tips that we find here. So many people contribute, that all the information you need you will find there."

"My best travel tip would be 'Have a plan, but don’t necessarily stick to it.’ My friend Leslie and I made a road trip to New York City this summer and had a few stops along the way to visit friends and spend the 4th of July in DC. We planned out every day of our trip so we’d have an idea of what our possibilities were, but we didn’t end up sticking exactly to the plan. I think some of the best things that happened on the trip were because we swayed from the plan and ended up winging it with our friends. It’s great to have options and ideas, otherwise you walk around looking for things to do and waste a lot of time. But, you have to be flexible too or you miss some great opportunities!"
