Everyone knows that Daingerfield is notorious for its numerous football accomplishments. What they don’t know is that the Tigers’ basketball program has been quite successful as well.
The Daingerfield Tigers will face the Waskom Wildcats in Bi-District playoff action Tuesday night. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Marshall High School.
Daingerfield’s Lady Tigers will travel to Chapel Hill on Feb. 17 for a game beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Hughes Springs Mustangs boys’ basketball team was overwhelmed Jan. 17 on their home court by the 5-7 Daingerfield Tigers.
It was no easy task for the Bears as they pulled off a win over the Tigers in quadruple overtime Jan. 20. It was a brawl to the finish with the Tigers losing 73-67.
The Daingerfield Tigers and Lady Tigers will travel to Brownsboro for basketball action Jan. 20. The junior varsity Lady Tigers will begin play at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity team.
The White Oak Lady Roughnecks proved too tough for the Daingerfield Lady Tigers in a Jan. 10 game. The Lady Roughnecks came out on top 66-24.
The Tigers are now 4-1 in District play. What appeared to be a close match early on in the Jan. 13 game, with Daingerfield leading 15-11 over Union Grove in the first, soon changed. The Tigers extended their lead by 13 at the half. By the end of the third, the score read 50-33 with the Tigers pressing forward. Daingerfield increased that lead to 30 in the fourth with the final reading 73-43.
