A weekly country music television show is coming Saturday to satellite subscribers.
"Texas County Line" is seen on Longview Cable channel 10, but its addition to CBS 19 will allow non-cable subscribers to see the program.
The show will be shown at 6 p.m. Saturdays. The cable show will move to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays, officials with Texas County Line Productions said.
The show features traditional country, Western swing and Cajun music performed at venues throughout Texas. In addition to local acts, stars like Willie Nelson, Ray Price and Bob Wills' Playboys have been featured.
The program is hosted by Brad Maule, who portrayed Dr. Tony Jones on the soap opera "General Hospital" for 22 years. Maule is a lecturer of art and theater at Stephen F. Austin State University.
"For the most part, you don't hear or see what we call classic country on many radio or TV shows these days," Maule said in the announcement. "Our audience response has been amazing, which tells us that there are lots of folks out there who still want to hear and see what we're offering."
Texas County Line also is carried on stations and cable systems in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Waco, Temple, Dallas/Fort Worth and Nashville, Tenn.
Officials also said, beginning in early 2010, the show will air in many European countries.
