Lady Jackets softball team win first six games
The top-10 ranked Mineola Lady Jackets have opened their season with six consecutive wins, including four in the Longview tournament that was held to two days when rain washed out the Saturday games.

The once powerful Mineola baseball program is in the progress of retooling and they are doing it with a pair of new coaches, Head Coach, Travis Jackson and assistant John Talley, who understand what it takes to become successful. Jackson has guided two teams to Austin in recent years as head coach in Overton.

The Mineola High School power lifting team competed in the Peoples Invitiational Saturday in Quitman and brought home a third place finish in the boys division and a sixth place finish for the girls. There were 17 teams competing.
