Longview's new northside Hampton Inn should be open by May if construction continues on schedule, according to Mital Patel, vice president of development for Image Hospitality.
The 91-room inn is south of the Hollywood Theaters Stadium 14 movie complex. Patel said construction on the company's planned 100-room Courtyard by Marriott should start within the next couple of months directly north of the Hampton Inn.
Patel also said company representatives are still in negotiations and working out details for another north side hotel property Image Hospitality has planned, a 100-room extended stay inn.
More U.S. 259 dirt moving
Site work on the east side of North U.S. 259 south of Pump It Up is making way for a new dealership location for Terrell-based Randall Noe Auto Group.
The Noe dealerships also operate in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Irving markets with brands that include Ford, Mercury, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep. Phone calls to Noewere not returned last week for information about what brand the new Noe location in Longview will feature.
Jack Lenhart, with Coldwell Banker Commercial Lenhart, handled the transaction for the sellers and Noe when Noe bought the property a couple of years ago.
Machine shop move
Premier Machine, a growing Gladewater-based machine job shop, is planning a move to Longview soon, according to Nikki Hailey, wife of owner Ryan Hailey.
The company recently celebrated its first anniversary and should be in new quarters at 8497 U.S. 259 North in coming weeks, adjacent to Larry Gilliam Construction. Premier Machine started out with two employees and now has five in addition to the Haileys.
The move will allow the firm to more than double its production floor to about 5,000 square feet along with a separate office area, Nikki Hailey said. A big change for the staff will be the move into an air-conditioned and heated shop, she said.
The move will allow Premier Machine to expand into more markets and diversify. She said the firm's first year in business "blew all our projections out of the water." The couple are hoping the move will allow their company to continue that fast-paced growth.
Eatery option
A new eating out option with south of the border flair — Las Delicias — recently opened in the Pinetree Centre, Loop 281 at Gilmer Road.
Owner Julie Guiellen and manager Connie Vancina and staff are serving up a number of homemade dishes with a variety of sauces, from hot and spicy to mild, to meet a range of tastes.
Frank Chaney with Coldwell Banker Commercial Lenhart handled the lease transaction.
Medical transitions
Dr. Aaron Gardner, a Longview-area native and 1989 graduate of Hallsville High School, recently returned to go into the practice of chiropractic medicine with Dr. Gary Lipkin at 300 E. Loop 281, across Loop 281 from Ryan's Steakhouse.
Gardner is a 1993 graduate of East Texas Baptist University and a graduate of Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena. He is accepting patients and can be reached at (903) 234-2225.
Dr. Jeffrey Jones' Vision Source! has made its move from 2500 Judson Road a couple of blocks south to 2304 Judson Road. Construction on the new facility, which includes three lease spaces of about 1,250 square feet each, was recently completed by Reich Builders.
Jones along with Dr. Kristofer Thornton and staff have been at the new location a couple of weeks.
