Holiday glow: Need a break? Check out East Texas light displays

The kids are out of school. All the gifts have been bought and wrapped. Why not take a break and check out some of East Texas' best and brightest holiday lights?
The 25th annual Wonderland of Lights continues in downtown Marshall through Jan. 1 and will be open at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Christmas Day.
More than a million lights shine on Marshall's town square, historical courthouse and a wonderland of attractions that include the world's biggest rocking horse, a 37-foot-tall mountain for sledding and two outdoor ice skating rinks.

Santa Land, the drive-through Christmas lights display just off Interstate 20 near Lindale, is open 6 to 10:30 nightly through Jan. 4.
Admission is $20 per car or $30 per commercial van with a limit of 15 people. For information, call (903) 882-1518.
