17 sentenced in Upshur County

Alonso A. Ramos, 28, of Longview was among 17 people sentenced this past week in the 115th District Court with Judge Lauren Parish presiding.

Ramos received a 10 year state prison sentence for driving a vehicle that was involved in an accident. He is also probated to pay a $1,000 fine, serve 400 community service hours, attend driving while intoxicated classes, and have guardian interlock for half of his eight-year probation sentence.

The other sentences were for:

Kenneth Myers Jr., 30, of Gilmer, who was sentenced to 10 years in jail for possession or transport of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture controlled substances.

Jacob Andrew Wade, 21, of Gilmer, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of a firearm.

Crystal Dawn White, 21, of Gladewater, was sentenced to four years in jail for tampering with physical evidence.

Justin Edward Reynolds, 22, of Gilmer, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for delivery of a controlled substance.

Julian Wayne Morris, 25, of Gilmer, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for burglary of a building.

Christopher Michael Hutton, 22, of Gladewater, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for theft.

Tracey Charles Fenn, 20, of Big Sandy, was sentenced to 10 months in jail for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Tracy Gale Moore, 37, of Gilmer, was sentenced to 200 days in Upshur County Jail for possession of a dangerous drug.

Zachary Allen Wheeler, 20, of Henderson, was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication for possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Gary Wayne Nix, 50, of Gladewater, was sentenced to 11 months in jail for delivery of a controlled substance.

Lance Henry McCormack, 48, of Gilmer, was sentenced to one year confinement in Upshur County Jai for his second offense of driving while intoxicated.

Jennifer Anastacia Perez, 32, of Longview, was sentenced to two years in jail for theft.

Joshua Allen Taylor, 49, of Garland, was sentenced to 10 years in jail for burglary of a habitation.

Nathan Carl Taylor, 18, of Gilmer, was sentenced to 10 years in jail for burglary of a habitation.

Shana Renee Mestas, 33, of Gilmer, was sentenced to one year in Upshur County Jail for attempted credit card abuse.
