A baby was killed Sunday morning and two people were hospitalized in critical condition after Longview police said a driver hit two unoccupied cars in a parking lot.
The wreck happened about 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of West Loop 281, authorities said.
The baby, who was a passenger in the back seat, was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other people were were listed in critical condition at an area hospital, Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said.
Longview Fire Department Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary said three people were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center, and emergency crews had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the victims from the vehicle.
Brian said the baby's name had not been released, and she was unsure whether the infant was in a car seat.
No other information was available Sunday.
