Pine Tree ISD officially has a new superintendent.
Incoming Superintendent T.J. Farler signed a three-year contract Monday night when she was hired in a unanimous school board vote, district spokeswoman Vickie Echols said. Her annual salary is $150,000.
Farler comes to Pine Tree from Wylie ISD where she most recently served as assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. Wylie is a 12,600-student school district in Collin County. She has been an educator for 31 years.
Farler will replace former Pine Tree superintendent Marian Strauss, who left the district at the end of March. Strauss' annual salary was $150,621, inclusive of base pay plus all benefits.
