Basketball: Area high schools release All-Star rosters

City schools Longview, Pine Tree and Spring Hill - along with area schools Tatum, New Diana, Sabine, White Oak and West Rusk - will all be represented on April 14 when the annual Azalea Orthopedics All-Star High School Basketball Games tip off at Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gymnasium.

Rosters were released today.

Longview's Akia Patrick and Pine Tree's Nykia Clayton will suit up for the East girls, while Spring Hill's Brandon Robbins and Longview's JaQuan Jackson will play for the East boys.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with the girls game slated for a 5:30 p.m. start. The boys will follow at approximately 7 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. All proceeds will be donated to the Bethesda Clinic.

East: Akia Patrick, Longview; Nykia Clayton, Pine Tree; Aubrey Okray, West Rusk; Cori Jo Navarro, T.K. Gorman; Montana Harrison, New Diana; DiMond Edmond, Lindale; Haley Hartt, Tatum; Megan Strnadel, Grace; Michelle Stewart, Whitehouse; Brianna Brooks, Tyler Lee. Coach is Greg Strawn of Lindale.

West: Susan Agesen and Chandler Short, Edgewood; LaQuesha Cooper, Brownsboro; Taylor Maxville, Rains; Courrtney Dawson, Malakoff; Latifah Rainey, John Tyler; Roddricka Patton, Neches; Sara Bullard, Frankston; Minta Spears, Bullard; Samantha Atkinson, Buffalo. Coach is Christi Coker of Frankston.


East: Brandon Robbins, Spring Hill; JaQuan Jackson, Longview; Brandon Viesca, Tatum; Correy Davis, Whitehouse; Caleb Carr, White Oak; Carson Clark, Troup, Jimmy Neeggem, Grace; Joey Stovall, Quitman, Devonte "Jarrod" Coleman of Tyler Lee and Bridges Gibbs, Sabine. Coach is Brent Smith of Troup.

West: Courtney Anderson, Palestine Westwood; Micah Angton, Palestine; Austin Langemeier, Brook Hill; Nick Jones, Brownsboro; Brad Robertson, All Saints; Zac Bowman, Cayuga; Darius Clater, Jacksonville; Jordan Van De Kop, Lindale; Caleb Willis, John Tyler; Josh Sharff, Edgewood. Coach is Brent Kelley of Jacksonville.
