Officials say more than 100 law enforcement agents, from federal, state and local agencies participated in the arrest of a dozen accused gang members in Henderson early Wednesday.
"We began the investigation about a year ago," said Tom Crowley, special agent Public Information Officer for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Crowley said the ATF Special Response Team from Dallas was called to help serve 14 arrest warrants and two search warrants.
Rusk County officials say one suspect is being held a county jail.
The other accused gang members were transported to Tyler, where they are currently undergoing a hearing in federal court, Crowley said.
The warrants are currently sealed, but following the hearing they will be made public, Crowley said.
