Man dressed as woman robs Kilgore liquor store

Kilgore police officers are looking for a man who robbed a liquor store Saturday after coming into the business dressed as a woman.

Officers were called to an aggravated robbery at Rose Package Store No. 3, at 3300 U.S. 259 in Kilgore, at about 12:27 p.m., according to a press statement released by Kilgore police.

There, a liquor store employee reported a black man, dressed as a woman wearing a black wig, a green knee-length dress and white undershirt, had entered the store brandishing what looked to be a revolver.

The man then produced a set of handcuffs, forced the store clerk to handcuff himself, then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and clerk before leaving in a white 1987 Buick four-door sedan, Texas License Plate CV4Y820.

Kilgore police found the vehicle abandoned in a parking lot a short time later.
