A 27-year-old Longview man was jailed Tuesday morning after police said he cut his brother twice across the face.
Jeffrey Miller was arrested about 1 a.m. at his home in the 400 block of Glover Drive after Good Shepherd Medical Center officials reported a stabbing victim was in the emergency room.
According to arrest reports, the victim told police that his intoxicated brother, later identified as Miller, "slashed" his face twice with a steak knife.
The victim said that he and his brother were involved in a "heated verbal argument" when the incident occurred.
Police said the steak knife was located in the residence and blood drops were found outside the front door and on the sidewalk.
Miller remained jailed Tuesday on $7,500 bond, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
