A woman whose body was found on the side of Interstate 20 near Longview was found to have no signs of trauma, an autopsy showed.
A hitchhiker found the body of Melissa Diane Gonzales last week behind a concrete barrier.
Gregg County Sheriff's officials are waiting for toxicology reports for Gonzales, Chief Deputy Chuck Willeford said.
The report from the Tarrant County medical examiner could take more than a couple of months.
Gonzlales was found just before noon Wednesday near westbound lanes of the I-20.
"We're still following up on leads of people who might have seen her, or who might have been with her," Willeford said.
Willeford said they still were unsure of the nature of her death and couldn't speculate a cause, though he has said the situation is suspicious.
