Kirby Pellant, who helped lead the East Texas Pump Jacks to a 4-2 week in his first full week back with the team, was named Texas Collegiate League Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Pellant, a TCL All-Star in 2011, hit .588 with 10 hits in three games - including three doubles - while scoring six runs and driving in five.

The TCL leader in stolen bases last summer and the second-leading base thief in the Big Ten Conference this past spring at Ohio State, Pellant also swiped three bases last week.

The Pump Jacks (12-3) have won four in a row and five of their last six heading into an off day on Tuesday. East Texas will visit the Texas Marshals tonight, and then return home Thursday and Friday to host Victoria at 7:05 p.m. at Driller Park in Kilgore.

Thursday is Thirsty Thursday at Driller Park, and on Friday is the season's first Fireworks Friday.
