He said it

Traylor: "Usually when you get this deep you've got a great team waiting on you. Argyle is waiting on us again. It's very rare in life that you get a second chance at anything, much less a third chance. So we're excited to be back. Unless they start seeding brackets this is the type of stuff that happens. This'll be a good one … Kris (Boyd) has always had this kind of talent. It was just a matter of learning to block, catch and carry out his fakes. There's a lot more to learn than running the football and he's trying to do it all … Tanner was 20 of 28 against Canton, but he didn't have to throw it much the other night. We're very pleased with his progression … We're such an inexperienced team that we just kind of got better as the year went along and are getting good at the right time. The last five games we feel like we've gotten a lot better … Their line is strong and physical. Sadler is so incredible and he's got weapons around him. We've got to slow down the running back and Sadler and find a way to outscore them … They're big, physical and fast on defense. That's why they're a great football team."

Did you know: Argyle has ended Gilmer's season each of the last two years. The Eagles beat the Buckeyes 51-35 in the regional final last season, one year after beating them in the regional semifinal … Both teams enter the game with double-digit winning streaks. Gilmer has won 10 in a row since a 42-12 week one loss against Prestonwood Christian, while Argyle has won 11 consecutive since a season-opening 31-14 loss to Wylie.
