He said it

Wood: "I think any time you get to the third round of the playoffs the competition is certainly going to get a lot better. They're a football team that's 12-0 and scoring a lot of points right now. They have a tremendous amount of speed offensively. Defensively, they do a good job with their linebackers. They make a lot of plays for them … In the running plays, they try to use their quarterback. We just can't give up the big runs. He's going to have some good runs. He certainly has a good arm and he's got some good receivers … Their backs have a lot of speed. He's got the speed to make some big plays when he breaks the line of scrimmage … We're not trying to get into a shootout with people, but we feel good about our running game right now. We've got a number of backs. In the passing game, we've got a number of receivers we can throw the ball deep to."

Did you know: Kilgore has allowed more than 14 points just once this season (20-14 loss at Gilmer on Nov. 9) … Gainesville has scored less than 20 points just once and has won nine of 12 games by double digits. The Leopards average margin of victory is 22.8 points.
