SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A school bus plunged about 15 feet from a Texas expressway overpass to the doorstep of a hotel below, miraculously causing only non-life-threatening injuries to the child and two adults aboard.
The crash happened about 4:45 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 37 at East Commerce Street on the eastern edge of downtown San Antonio.
Police Sgt. Javier Salazar says a collision with a car on the northbound expressway overpass sent the bus careening through a concrete barrier.
Salazar says the adults were taken from the bus to University Medical Center with possible fractures, while the child had minor cuts and bruises.
