Actress Daryl Hannah was released late Thursday from the Wood County Jail after being arrested while protesting pipeline construction.
Hannah, 51, was arrested with landowner Eleanor Fairchild, 78, who was jailed on charges of criminal trespass and obstructing a highway passage. Fairchild also posted bond and was released from jail.
Authorities said the pair were arrested while standing in front of heavy equipment in an attempt to halt construction of the Keystone XL pipeline on Fairchild's farm south of Winnsboro.
Hannah was jailed on charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest. She was released just before midnight Thursday after posting bonds totaling $4,500. Fairchild was released about an hour earlier on bonds totaling $3,000.
