TxDOT Report: planned area road work for the week

Here is a look at road work planned around Northeast Texas by the Texas Department of Transportation, for the week of August 19 to 26:

<h3>Tyler District</h3>

Crews to hang Texas 154 bridge beams Wednesday

<h3>Quitman</h3>

On Wednesday, construction crews are scheduled to begin placing bridge beams on the new SH 154 bridge west of Quitman. This work will cause traffic to be reduced to one lane, and traffic will be stopped completely while the beams are moved into place by crane.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible, and to expect lengthy delays in the project area.

TxDOT continues work on Kilgore Bypass

<h3>Gregg County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the US 259-Kilgore Bypass between the south end and FM 349.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Van Zandt County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on SH 19, between Interstate 20 north of Canton, and U.S. 80.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Winona</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement-repair work on SH 155 in and around Winona.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Rusk County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement-repair operations on northbound U.S. 259 between North Loop 571 and FM 850.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

<h3>Cherokee County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work in various locations on FM 2137 between FM 344 south of Bullard, and FM 855 west of Mount Selman.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Anderson County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform anti-erosion work in various locations on US 287 between the Freestone County Line and FM 2706.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Henderson County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on FM 1615 between SH 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Bowie County</h3>

Interstate 30 – Near Hooks, constructing new frontage roads.

Interstate 30 – Between Hooks and the Arkansas State Line, resurfacing pavement. Traffic restricted to one lane. Expect traffic delays.

U.S. 59 – At IH 30 interchange, constructing barrier wall. Traffic restricted to one lane.

U.S. 59 – At FM 989 (Kings Highway), reconstructing intersection replacing asphalt pavement with concrete. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction. Expect traffic delays.

FM 2240 (Moores Lane) – in Texarkana between FM 559 (Richmond Road) and FM 1397 (Summerhill Road), widening roadway to add continuous left-turn lane. Expect traffic delays.

U.S. 259 – Between DeKalb and the Oklahoma State Line, widening roadway.

<h3>Cass County</h3>

U.S. 59 – From south of FM 2148 in Bowie County to south of FM 3129 in Cass County, constructing new overpass at FM 3129 and concrete overlay on southbound lanes of U.S. 59. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

Texas 77 – From west of Powell Creek to SH 8 in Douglassville, adding shoulders.

<h3>Harrison County</h3>

Interstate 20 – From Eight Mile Creek to 0.5 mile west of US 80, concrete pavement repair and resurfacing. Traffic restricted to one lane near construction zones. Expect traffic delays.

Interstate 20 – Westbound lanes only from 0.5 mile west of U.S. 80 to Louisiana State Line, resurfacing of roadway. Traffic restricted to one lane near construction zones. Expect traffic delays.

Interstate 20 – At FM 31 overpass, repairing beams and columns.

Interstate 20 – Lansing Switch Road overpass, repairing beam and sealing bridge joints.

U.S. 80 – At Cider Lane in Hallsville, constructing left-turn lane.

FM 134 – From FM 1999 to U.S. 80, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

FM 134 – From FM 2682 to Marion County Line, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

FM 1793 – From FM 134 to U.S. 59, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

FM 3001 – From 1997 to Marion County Line, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

<h3>Marion County</h3>

FM 3001 – From FM 726 to Harrison County Line, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

FM 726 – From 2.7 miles west of FM 729 to FM 729, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

FM 728 – From 3.6 miles north of SH 49 to SH 49, seal coat resurfacing of roadway.

<h3>Morris County</h3>

U.S. 259 – From US 67 to south of IH 30, widening shoulders and resurfacing.

<h3>Titus County</h3>

U.S. 271 – At U.S. 67 west of Mt. Pleasant and at FM 3417 south of Mt. Pleasant, constructing new

bypass around town. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

<h3>Upshur County</h3>

U.S. 259 – From FM 450 to FM 726, pavement repairs and resurfacing of roadway.
