Drug enforcement officers seized evidence of drug sales and use from veteran Longview Police Lt. Mike Satterwhite's apartment, according to a seizure document obtained Friday from the office of Gregg County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Arthur Fort.
Officers with the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement Unit took an unspecified amount of marijuana, along with pipes, grinders and scales from apartment No. 145 of the Autumnwood Apartment complex Tuesday while executing a search warrant at the property.
Satterwhite shared the apartment with 27-year-old Donald Glynn Spencer, according to neighbors and jail records that show Spencer's address as 318 Lake Lamond Road, Apt. 145.
Spencer was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana. He was released about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Gregg County Jail on $500 bond.
Satterwhite remains on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said.
