East Texas man indicted after assault on father

A Diana man whom authorities said threatened to slice his father's throat was indicted this week by an Upshur County grand jury.
"He threatened to do harm to his father by holding a knife to his neck, forcing him to drive him to another location," said Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd.
Kevin Eushay Davis, 32, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, retaliation and unlawful restraint in connection with the Feb. 20 incident.
He was being held in the Upshur County Jail on bonds totaling $500,000.
