Girl, 5, dies, two others injured in Titus County crash

A child was killed and two family members seriously injured Monday night when their car was rear ended in Titus County.
According to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman, a vehicle, driven by Dawn Marie Adams, 37, was stopped about 6 p.m. on Texas 49 waiting to turn onto Titus County Road 4230.
A second vehicle struck the back of Adams' vehicle, killing Chloe Elizabeth Adams, 5, and critically injuring Emmarie Dawn Adams, 7, who was taken by helicopter to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler for blunt force trauma injuries.
All three occupants of the vehicle were wearing safety belts, the spokeswoman said.
The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
No one has been charged in connection with the wreck; however, an investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
