Former Longview tight end Colin Jeter has transferred from Air Force to Kilgore College, he confirmed Thursday.
Jeter signed with Air Force in February and arrived on the campus just outside Colorado Springs, Colo., in June before opting to transfer back closer to home for family reasons.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder will be immediately eligible to play for the Rangers in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference.
He signed with Air Force after a solid career at Longview that included eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown during his senior year. He also registered eight catches for 132 yards and four touchdowns as a junior.
He chose Air Force over offers from Texas State and Northwestern (La.) State.
Kilgore College begins practice Aug. 12 and opens the season at Dodge City (Kan.) Community College on Aug. 31.
