The International Student Exchange Program, in cooperation with area schools, seeks families to host exchange students from around the world.
The students are 15 to 18 years old and come from France, Spain, Norway, Finland, Germany, China, Thailand and other countries to spend up to a year in high school.
Students are insured, bring spending money and are expected to contribute to household responsibilities, as well as be included in family activities.
Students come to practice English, experience American culture and to share their own cultures with host families.
Students are academically selected for the program, and host families may choose their student from a wide variety of backgrounds, countries and personal interests.
To become a host family or to get information, call Lisa Ries or Rebecca Watson in the ASSE Southern Regional Office, at (800) 473-0696, or visit www.host.asse.com.
