Longview Police Chief Don Dingler has released the identities of two police officers cleared of wrongdoing in fatal shootings this past month.
Officers Danny Stroud and Kerry Higginbotham were no-billed Thursday by a grand jury in the fatal shootings of Candace Jackson on May 9 and Jose SiFuentes on May 20, after hearing testimony from Texas Rangers who conducted investigations in each incident.
"I am pleased that the grand jury cleared these two officers and they have now been returned to regular duty," Dingler wrote in a statement.
The department has not specified which incident each officer was involved in.
Both officers have been with the department for at least three years.
