Pump Jacks top Marshals in 12 innings

DALLAS - East Texas scored two runs in the top of the 12th inning to earn its second straight win in a 6-4 victory over Texas in Texas Collegiate League play Saturday.
Bret Bitow scored the go-ahead run from first on Connor Huesers' RBI double, then Huesser's scored on an error to stretch the lead to 6-4.
Bitow earned the win after pitching a scoreless final two innings in relief.
East Texas (12-15) played from behind for most of the game before rallying to tie it at 4-4 when Matthew Dickey's bases-loaded walk scored Zach Jones in the top of the ninth inning.
The Marshals (9-18) then left two runners on in the bottom of the ninth. Neither team managed to get a base runner in the 10th and the Marshals stranded a runner at third in the 11th.
East Texas took a 1-0 lead on Pine Tree product Brett McAfee's RBI groundout in the first, but Texas responded by scoring two runs in the bottom of the first and one more to make it 3-1 in the bottom of the second.
Ben Mordini hit a two-run homer to tie the game at 3-3 in the top of the seventh for East Texas.
