A Marshall woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 259 in Harrison County on Tuesday afternoon.
Sandra Marie Lorenzo, 52, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup on Liberty Church Road at the intersection of U.S. 259 when her vehicle was hit by a 2007 Dodge pickup truck driven by Patrick Allen Rook of Waskom, according to Kristi Reynolds, communications operator for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A male passenger in Rook's vehicle, 18-year-old Dakota Alden Nealy, was injured in the wreck. Occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat belts, Reynolds said.
Trooper Leland Borden investigated the crash and concluded Lorenzo had failed to yield to Rook, who had the right-of-way. No charges have been filed against Rook, Reynolds said.
The wreck occurred at 3:26 p.m. Lorenzo was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Megan Pinson.
Services for Lorenzo are pending at Meadowbrook Funeral Home in Marshall.
